Head Pieces

Head pieces have been around forever. It emerged from the Ancient Egyptians, Native Americans and Indians and is ever evolving with time. Back in the day, they were used to show authority and ranking for kings and queens by wearing crowns. Now you can use a head piece as the perfect complement to dress up that gorgeous outfit.

HOW TO WEAR: Styling your hair while rocking a head piece depends on what works best for the shape of your face. Here are a few styling tips.

Side bob: If you have short hair and are feeling bold you can go ‘Daisy’ for a Great Gatsby inspired bob. A side part with one side tucked behind the ears gives you a 1920s elegant look.

Hair down: With long hair you can either go for loose curls or blow dry it to give a less subtle effect.

Hair Up:  Twist your hair into a bun and work that head piece by giving your hair some volume. Ensure everything stays in place by using bobby pins.

With Bangs: Wear a head piece with bangs if you do not want the head piece to be draped over your forehead. This look is inspired by Nicole Richie who we have crowned the queen of headpieces. This look can be tricky so you have to be careful not to look like you’re wearing a costume.
