The Evolution of Rings

Fashion is constantly evolving. One minute something is in vogue and the next it is out. Being the fashion lovers that we are, we just have to keep up. One particular item in fashion that comes with symbolism is the finger ring. When worn on different fingers, it can mean different things. The ring has evolved so much from the stone rings of the ancient times. Rings worn simply for beauty became in style in the eighteenth century. Rings evolved from being simple bands with small stones on them to so much more.

Jewellery plays a huge role in accessorizing an outfit. Rings are the perfect accessories to show off those oh-so-perfectly manicured nails. Whether you’re going out to lunch with the girls or having drinks with the mister, be sure to give them plenty to compliment you on ;)

The evolution of rings has actually been a cycle. Midi rings are said to have originated even before the renaissance era where they were used to signify wealth and now they are back with a vengeance. In those days, the more rings one wore, the less chores one had to do. Err, sign us up please! You know we’d rather be out conquering the world of fashion.

You can either go really heavy on the rings by wearing two on one finger paired with a big statement ring on another finger or you can keep it simple by wearing two midi rings on two different fingers. Midi rings are fun and easy and we are obsessed with this new trend!
